Shiruba XB303 compact canister filter for nano tanks
The XB303 is an easy entry point into canister filtration, compact enough to tuck under a nano or small planted tank yet delivering the proper mechanical, biological and chemical staging a hang-on filter can’t quite match. Its vacuum priming makes setup painless, and the sealed canister keeps noise and evaporation down compared with open hang-on units. For a desk or small living-room tank, it puts real filtration capacity into a footprint that fits an HDB cabinet.
In Singapore’s warm 27-29C water, biological filtration works hard, and a canister’s generous media volume gives bacteria the surface area to keep ammonia and nitrite in check on a stocked nano. We suggest arranging media in the right order, coarse mechanical first then biological, so you get the most from the small chambers. Rinse biomedia in old tank water, not our chloraminated tap, to preserve your colony during maintenance.
