SUNSUN CUV Inline UV Clarifier for Singapore Tanks and Ponds

The CUV inline UV unit plumbs into your existing filter return so water passes the lamp on its way back to the tank or pond, reducing free-floating algae, bacteria and protozoa. We recommend it mainly as a clarity and water-polishing tool rather than a cure-all: it works on whatever passes through it, so it is best run on the return line of a canister or pond pump where flow is steady and predictable.

In Singapore the green-water battle is constant because warm water and bright equatorial light push algae growth hard, and an inline UV is one of the few reliable ways to clear an established bloom without blacking out a display tank. Flow rate is the lever that matters: too fast and the water does not get enough contact time, so match the unit to your pump’s output. The quartz sleeve and lamp need occasional cleaning and roughly annual bulb replacement to keep performing.
