The SUNSUN YF-01 Surface Cleaner uses high-quality suction cups to securely attach to glass tanks. It provides adjustable water flow and automatically controls water levels within 4cm. This enhances surface water movement and increases oxygen content. With its biological sponge, it effectively removes oily dirt and debris from the water’s surface.

In our humid local climate, planted and shrimp tanks left without good surface movement quickly develop an oily, rainbow-tinted film that traps dust and starves the water of oxygen overnight. The YF-01 sits on the rim, draws the very top layer of water through its sponge, and keeps that boundary clean. We find it especially handy on HDB and condo tanks where the lid stays mostly closed and natural evaporation is limited, so the film has nowhere to escape.

Because it pulls only the upper few centimetres, the skimmer also boosts gas exchange without churning the whole column, which matters when ambient room temperature already sits at 27-29C and warm water holds less oxygen. Pair it with a sponge or canister return and you get a calm but well-oxygenated surface that betta, tetra, and shrimp all appreciate. The suction cups hold firmly on standard glass, and the adjustable intake lets you fine-tune flow for nano setups.
