VENY CFU-5 Undergravel Filter for Small Tanks

The compact CFU-5 plate is made for smaller aquariums where you want reliable biological filtration without a bulky external unit. It converts the gravel bed into a colony for beneficial bacteria, drawing water down and returning it through the uplift tube. For HDB flats where floor space and tank size are limited, this is an easy, silent way to keep a nano or starter tank cycling cleanly.

Layer medium gravel over the plate, fit the uplift, and run it on a modest air pump. Because small water volumes swing faster in our 27-29C rooms, stay on top of feeding and do regular partial water changes to keep parameters stable. A sponge cap on the uplift protects shrimp and fry. Vacuum the gravel gently each week so debris does not accumulate under the plate.
