Great for Oranda, Lionhead, Azumanishiki, Ranchu and most other fancy goldfish. Regular feeding insures desirable body structure and excellent appearance.

Feeding Suggestions

When temperature above 50 degrees, feed two to four times daily. Higher temperatures cause more activity which requires more food. Please do not exceed the amount your fish will eat within a few minutes of feeding. Remove all remaining food after the feeding period to avoid over-feeding and the water quality problems associated with this action.

Oranda Gold is aimed at the wen-growing fancies kept indoors, where they miss the natural sunlight that helps pond fish develop colour. That describes most goldfish setups in Singapore, where the tank sits in a living room or along an HDB corridor rather than out in the open. The diet pairs colour support with a formulation meant to encourage the prominent head growth that oranda, ranchu and lionhead keepers are after.

As with any head-growth food we are honest that the wen develops mainly through genetics, age and steady husbandry, with diet playing a supporting role. These round-bodied fancies are buoyancy-prone, so even with a floating pellet we suggest a brief pre-soak and small, frequent feeds in our warm 27-29C water where digestion runs fast. Clean, well-filtered water with regular changes does as much for colour and finnage as any single food.
