The bigger pellet suits adult and juvenile koi that take food from the surface, and the higher protein content supports the muscle development and body shape that pond hobbyists chase. The Bacillus subtilis coating is there to aid digestion, which in turn means less uneaten waste clouding the water.

Singapore’s year-round warmth keeps koi active and feeding hard, so this kind of growth formula can be fed generously through most of the year, unlike temperate climates where keepers switch to wheatgerm in winter.
