This slow-sinking pellet provides the fish with the opportunity to feed at any area of the water column they desire, whilst avoiding surface feeding which can result in air intake which may cause buoyancy irregularity. Packed with colour enhancing astaxanthin to promote fish colour, making your fish even more beautiful. Developed using the same key principles as used in the award-winning NT Labs Medikoi Food range, this food ensures high nutrient uptake and very low waste. Fancy goldfish are a Singapore favourite, often kept in HDB and condo living rooms without a heater since our ambient 27-29C sits comfortably within their range. The trade-off is that warmer water holds less oxygen and speeds digestion, so portion control and surface agitation both matter. These slow-sinking pellets let orandas, ranchus and ryukins feed mid-column rather than gulping at the surface, which helps reduce the air intake that can aggravate swim-bladder and buoyancy issues in round-bodied varieties.
Goldfish are heavy waste producers, so we always pair generous filtration with restrained feeding. Soak pellets for a few seconds before dropping them in if your fish are prone to floating, and feed only what they finish in two minutes, twice daily. Skip a day each week for adults to keep the gut moving and the water clearer between changes.
