Discusfood Carni Wafers are a natural nutrition for all carnivorous catfishes. They contain everything that Hypncistrus, Pseudacanthicus, Scobiancistrus and many other L-cats consume in their natural habitat.
The main component is a bacterial protein that is similar to the natural growth of the substrate. Crustaceans and 10% insects complement the complete diet for carnivorous L-catfish. The composition corresponds approximately to the natural feeding of these fish. Carni waffles are not pressed food as tablets but extruded. The raw material is fed into this mold under high pressure. Valuable nutrients in the ingredients are preserved, to give the best to the fishes

DIS Pleco & Catfish Carni Wafers in Singapore

These Carni Wafers are aimed at carnivorous L-number catfish such as Hypancistrus, Pseudacanthicus and Scobinancistrus, the meat-eating plecos that do poorly on the algae wafers many shops push. Built around a high bacterial-protein base with crustaceans and insects, they match what these L-cats actually eat in the wild. We recommend them to Singapore keepers of zebra plecos and similar species who too often see their fish slowly waste away on the wrong diet.

Carnivorous plecos are shy and nocturnal, so we suggest dropping a wafer near their cave after lights-out, when they feed most confidently. In our warm 27-29C water the wafer softens and is grazed over a couple of hours, so feed only what is taken overnight to avoid fouling the tank. These fish need clean, well-oxygenated water, so keep up water changes and strong flow, and reseal the tub against Singapore humidity.
