Feeding

Feed two (2) to three (3) times daily the amount your fish will completely consume in a few minutes. Care should be taken to avoid overfeeding as water quality issues can result.

HIKARI Micro Pellets for tetras and small fish in SG

Micro Pellets are sized for small-mouthed community fish, which makes them a natural fit for the tetra, rasbora and small barb tanks that dominate planted aquascapes in Singapore homes. The tiny multi-coloured pellets sink slowly, giving mid-water schoolers time to pick them off before they reach the substrate. We like recommending them for nano and planted community tanks where flake can be messy and hard to portion for a small group.

Our soft, slightly acidic tap water suits most tetras and rasboras once conditioned, and at 27-29C they are constantly grazing, so little-and-often feeding works best. In a planted tank, uneaten pellets settling into substrate or carpet plants can fuel algae, so feed only what the school clears in a minute or two. A varied diet brings out the best colour, so rotate this with other foods rather than relying on one.
