How To Safely Add Fish To Tank
- Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
- Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
- Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.
Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.
Caring for Orange Shubunkin Goldfish in Singapore
This 3-inch Orange Shubunkin is a single-tailed, hardy goldfish that grows considerably larger than its current size, so plan space accordingly. Shubunkins are active, fast swimmers that produce a heavy bioload, which means strong filtration and generous water volume matter far more than tank decoration. They are sociable and do best in small groups, where their constant foraging and bright colour make them a lively centrepiece for a cooler indoor setup.
Goldfish prefer cooler water than most tropicals, and Singapore’s 27-29C ambient sits at the warm end of their comfort range. A roomy tank with good surface agitation helps keep oxygen levels up, since warm water holds less dissolved oxygen and goldfish are demanding on that front. Avoid cramped bowls entirely. Feed a quality goldfish diet in measured amounts and keep up with water changes, as their waste output drives ammonia quickly in warm conditions.
