How To Safely Add Fish To Tank
- Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
- Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
- Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.
Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.
Golden Molly Care in Singapore Aquariums
The Golden Molly is a warm, sunny-bodied livebearer that brings instant brightness to a planted community. Like all mollies it is gregarious and does best in a small group skewed towards females, where it grazes biofilm and algae across the day. It accepts flake, algae wafers and blanched greens readily, and its constant activity in the upper and middle water makes it an easy fish to enjoy and observe.
Mollies favour harder, slightly alkaline water, so our naturally soft, mildly acidic local tap supply benefits from light remineralisation to keep them in top condition. SG ambient temperatures of 27 to 29C sit within their comfort band, so a heater is usually optional. They breed prolifically as livebearers, so expect fry; dense planting or floating cover gives the young somewhere to shelter from hungry adults until they grow out.
