Hanging a light with the ANS HydroBar M120 (120cm)

The HydroBar M120 is a stainless-steel hanging bar that lifts a pendant or rail light above a 4ft tank instead of resting it on the rim. Suspending the fixture gives you an open-top, rimless look, lets light spread evenly across the surface and makes daily maintenance far easier with nothing to lift off first. The stainless build shrugs off our humid, splash-prone environment, and the adjustable, detachable design helps you set the right hanging height and pack it down when moving.

Mount height is the part worth dialling in: raising the light spreads coverage and softens intensity at the substrate, while lowering it concentrates par for demanding carpeting plants. The bar fixes to the back of the cabinet, so make sure your cabinet and wall can take the load before you hang a heavier fixture. Pair it with a timer to run a consistent photoperiod, which keeps algae in check in our warm tanks.
