Using the FROK Submersible LED (Multi) in Singapore Tanks

This multi-colour FROK submersible bar is a favourite among local arowana and large-fish keepers, and we sell plenty for exactly that reason. The controllable RGB modes let you dial in warm reds that lift the scales on a red arowana, goldfish or red parrot, or switch to cooler tones for a community display. Because the unit sits fully underwater behind the fish, it sidesteps the glare and reflection issues of top-mounted lights on the deep show tanks common in Singapore homes.

Mounted low in the water column, it throws light upward through the fish rather than washing it out from above, which is why arowana keepers here rely on it for colour conditioning. The sealed glass casing and heavy rubber gaskets are built for tanks holding big, boisterous fish that knock fittings around. In our warm 27-29C water the in-built heat sinks matter, since ambient heat gives LEDs little room to shed their own, so we suggest leaving clearance around the cable end.
