The 3-foot tank is a sweet spot for many Singapore hobbyists who want presence without committing to a 4-footer, and this dual-tube T5HO fixture is sized for it, spanning a 90-100cm cabinet on its extendable bracket. Two high-output tubes give even coverage across the length, supporting a mixed planted community without the dark corners you sometimes get from a single underpowered strip.

T5HO remains popular because the hardware is simple and the tubes are easy to source and swap. You can tune the look by combining a planted-spectrum tube with a cooler daylight one, then refresh tubes individually as output fades. In our warm 27-29C water we still recommend running it on a timer with a measured photoperiod so the extra light supports plants rather than feeding algae on the glass.
