The Odyssea Quad 90cm T5HO for 3-Foot Aquascapes in Singapore
Four 39W T5HO tubes across a 3-foot span deliver even, high-output coverage that suits demanding planted layouts and larger community tanks. The longer tubes spread light right to the corners, which is where 3-foot tanks usually go dim under cheaper single-strip fixtures. With this kind of intensity you can grow carpets and red stems, but you will also need to keep nutrients, CO2 and your photoperiod balanced to stay ahead of algae in our warm climate.
Because four HO tubes generate meaningful heat, mounting clearance matters on a 3-foot tank that already sits warm at 27-29C ambient. A small gap above the water and good surface movement help dissipate it. Many SG keepers run this fixture in the evening, which also lines up nicely with when you are home to enjoy the tank. Keep spare tubes on hand, as output gradually drops well before a tube fully fails.
