Description

This manual dimmer enables you to use your Twinstar lamp with less light emission. When the “On/Off Mode” button is pressed shortly, the lamp shuts off or is put back on. If the button is pressed for several seconds, the dimmer starts switching through the differrent modes.

This manual inline dimmer lets you dial back the output of a compatible Twinstar-style lamp, which is genuinely useful in Singapore planted tanks where strong LED light over warm, fast-metabolising water is a common trigger for algae. A short press of the On/Off button toggles the lamp, while holding the button cycles through the brightness modes, so you can tune intensity by hand without swapping fixtures. Note this is a manual dimmer, not a programmable timer.

Reducing light is one of the simplest levers you have for balancing a new or algae-prone scape: easing off intensity while plants establish, or matching light to a tank without CO2, helps keep growth in check. It fits the 600, 900 and 1200 size fixtures, making it handy for the range of tank widths typical in HDB and condo setups. The compact inline design tucks neatly behind the tank without adding clutter.
