The Week Aqua L-series Pro D over shallow, narrow tanks

The L-series Pro D is Week Aqua’s RGB-UV full-spectrum LED tuned for freshwater planted tanks, and the maker specifically recommends it for narrow, shallow layouts in 60, 90 and 120cm lengths. We point local aquascapers toward this version when they run low-iron rimless tanks with a slim front-to-back profile, since the fixture is built to throw even light into that shape. The full spectrum brings out fish colour while supporting plant photosynthesis across a scape.

Control is via Bluetooth app with stepless dimming, sunrise and sunset ramps and both preset and custom modes, which we find genuinely useful for matching output to plant demand rather than running flat-out. In Singapore’s warm, fertile tanks, starting with a moderate intensity and a sensible photoperiod is the reliable path to clean growth; pushing brightness and hours too hard mainly grows algae. Set a couple of timed on-off blocks so the tank looks its best when you are home in the evening.
