Feeding Instructions:

Feed often, but only what can be consumed in three minutes. Remove any uneaten food. Never overfeed. No thawing or rinsing required. Keep frozen.

Microwaving or thawing in hot water is not recommended, as this breaks down the nutrients contained in frozen fish food.

Frozen brine shrimp is the classic appetite-starter, and we recommend it constantly to Singapore keepers fighting a finicky eater. Almost every fish and invertebrate instinctively recognises brine shrimp as prey, so a thawed portion drifting in the current acts as a powerful feeding stimulant for newly imported or sulking fish. The portioned 100g cube tray keeps things tidy and lets you take just one block at a time from the freezer.

For best results, thaw a cube in a little aquarium water, pour off the excess liquid, then feed small amounts your fish finish within a couple of minutes. Use it two or three times a week as part of a varied diet rather than as a complete staple, since brine shrimp is more of a treat and conditioner than a balanced everyday food. Never refreeze a thawed cube, and keep the tray frozen hard between feeds.
