Description
Hydrocotyle verticillataUnlike other Hydrocotyle species, this plant retains its trailing growth form. Verticillata originates from America and becomes 3-7 cm tall. Optimum growth is only achieved in strong light and soft, slightly acidic water. It does not need to be rooted, but can be used as a floating plant.
Hydrocotyle verticillata is definitely a foreground plant, but also suitable for garden ponds. If the soil is kept moist, you may even use it as an indoor plant.PLANT INFO:

Tropica Hydrocotyle Verticillata in Singapore Aquariums
This Hydrocotyle stands out because of its unusual umbrella-shaped leaves held on upright stalks, giving a layout a quirky, architectural texture nothing else quite matches. Unlike its trailing relatives it keeps that distinctive low, fan-like form, so we often suggest it to hobbyists who want a foreground with a bit of character rather than another flat carpet.
It reaches its best, most compact growth under strong light in soft, slightly acidic water, which our Singapore tap supply leans toward anyway. Helpfully, it does not need to be rooted and will grow happily as a floating plant, so it suits both planted foregrounds and shadier garden-pond corners. In our warm 27-29C conditions, brighter light keeps the petioles short and the leaves crisp rather than stretched.
