Description
Supplement containing highly concentrated fluoride. Fluorine is one of the main micronutrients contained in seawater. In a closed aquarium system, skimmer and filtration media remove fluorine deposits from the water, therefore its supplementation is necessary. Fluorine participates in the calcification process and supports skeletal tissue. Sodium fluoride and calcium fluoride are the building material of coral skeletons, therefore fluoride supplementation is necessary in a reef aquarium. Balanced fluoride supplementation, effectively strengthens the blue and white coloration of SPS corals, as well as highlight the fluorescence of most corals.
Contains traces of potassium and iodine.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 l (27 US gal) of water daily. 1 ml of Fluorine (~15 drops) in 100 l (27 US gal) of water raises the fluorine level by 0,06 ppm. It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs. The recommended level of fluorine in aquarium water is 1.2-1.4 mg/l (ppm).
Do not overtighten the screw, otherwise the cover might be damaged.

Using AF Fluorine on SG Reef Aquariums
Fluorine is a minor element most hobbyists never test for, which makes a concentrated supplement like this one a useful but easy-to-misuse tool. We position it as part of a wider trace regime rather than a standalone fix: it tends to matter most on SPS-dominant systems chasing tight blues and crisp whites, where natural seawater levels are slowly stripped out by skimming and filtration over time. On a typical local nano or mid-size reef, the 10ml bottle lasts a long while.
Our advice for Singapore keepers is to treat the per-element trace bottles as a system. Dose conservatively, keep your major parameters stable first, and only layer in minor elements once alkalinity, calcium and magnesium are rock-steady. In warm 27-29C tanks corals grow and consume quickly, so a consistent weekly routine beats sporadic heavy dosing. If you are not running ICP testing, stay near the lower end of any suggested amount.
Browse the rest of our marine additives range to build a balanced regime, and read our reef trace elements dosing guide together with the pastel SPS coloration protocol if blue and white pop is your goal.
