Description
***Aquaforest Iron 10ml has no longer available***
Supplement containing highly concentrated iron. Iron is an important micronutrient absorbed by corals and sea anemones. Regular and balanced iron supplementation provides intense green coloration of corals. Iron plays an important role in the process of photosynthesis, therefore its supplementation improves the coral nutrition process. Especially supports green coloring of Acroporas as well as other SPS corals.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 liters (27 US gal) daily.
The recommended level of iron in aquarium water is 0.02 – 0.06 mg/l (ppm).
1 ml of Iron (~15 drops) in 100 l (27 US gal) raises the iron level in water by 0.005 ppm = 5 μg/l. It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs.
Do not overtighten the screw, otherwise the cover might be damaged.

About AF Iron for Reef Tanks (SG)
AF Iron is a concentrated iron supplement aimed at SPS keepers who want stronger green coloration, since iron underpins photosynthesis in the symbiotic algae corals rely on. While this particular bottle may not always be in stock, the role iron plays on a reef is worth understanding. It works best as part of a balanced trace regime, not as a quick fix dripped onto a fading colony, and the smallest amounts shift the reading noticeably.
For Singapore reefers, iron uptake is brisk in our warm 27-29C tanks, so consumption can outpace label estimates on fast-growing acros. We always advise dosing into flowing sump water rather than the display, splitting the weekly amount into small portions, and never increasing iron while nutrients are bottomed out. Greens almost always fade because nitrate or phosphate has crashed, not because iron alone is missing, so fix the foundation first.
If this item is unavailable, our wider marine additives range carries comparable trace supplements. Read our reef trace elements dosing guide and the nitrate and phosphate balance for SPS colour guide to dial greens in properly.
