Description
Highly concentrated formula for raising magnesium levels in marine aquariums. Mg Plus is created for managing shortages and sudden drops of magnesium levels. Magnesium is necessary for healthy and balanced growth of corals. The appropriate level of magnesium in the tank water provides corals better absorption of calcium. Reduced level of magnesium may cause inability to maintain proper calcium level and lowered pH. Recommended magnesium level in reef aquariums is 1180-1460 mg/l (ppm).
Dosage: 10 ml of Magnesium solution raises magnesium level by 7.5 mg/l (ppm) in 100 l (27 US gal) of water. Dosage should be established basing on water tests and daily corals consumption. Before applying Mg Plus it is recommended to test magnesium level in the water. We do not recommend raising magnesium levels by more than 50 ppm a day. Please ensure your magnesium level is within the recommended range before attempting to raise or adjust your calcium and alkalinity levels.
Product for aquarium use only. Not suitable for human consumption. Keep away from children.

Correcting magnesium with AF Mg Plus 200ml
Magnesium is the quiet element behind a stable reef, and AF Mg Plus is the concentrated bottle we reach for when a test shows it has slipped below the 1180-1460 ppm range corals prefer. Low magnesium is often the real reason local reefers cannot hold their calcium or alkalinity steady, no matter how diligently they dose those two; correct the magnesium first and the rest usually falls back into line. The 200ml format suits regular top-ups on nano and mid-size systems.
Raise it gradually and stay within the recommended daily limit rather than chasing the number in one go, since corals tolerate a slow correction far better than a sharp swing. We suggest confirming the reading on a dedicated magnesium test before and after dosing, because guessing here tends to send the whole calcium-alkalinity-magnesium triangle out of balance and creates more work than it saves.
