Aquaforest Media Reactor (90/110/130/150mm)

Description

The highest quality universal fluidization filter designed for use with various filtration media. Works with activated carbon, phosphate adsorbents and zeolites. Designed by engineers and aquarists, it provides the most efficient filtration even in the most demanding marine tanks. The unique design and the highest tightness allows the reactor to be located both in the sump chamber and outside the aquarium. Due to this, it also works great when there is no space in the sump for setting the filter. The use of the best materials, it is resistant to scratches and discoloration. Ergonomic design and smart-twist system ensure comfort of use and guarantee easy and efficient media replacement. Internal sponges prevent the filter medium from entering the water.
We recommend using the optimal mix of Aquaforest filtration media (Carbon, Phosphate Minus, Zeo Mix). Important thing is also that our media reactors are very solid and nicely made.

Running the Aquaforest Media Reactor on a SG Reef

This Aquaforest fluidised reactor is a workhorse for reef keepers who want active chemical filtration, tumbling carbon, GFO or zeolites in a gentle suspension so every granule does its job. We stock the 90 to 150mm diameters so you can match the reactor to your livestock load and sump space. Its smart-twist body and internal sponges make media swaps quick and clean, which matters when you are reaching into a packed cabinet under a nano or mixed reef.

The clever part for compact local setups is that it works inside the sump or hung externally, so even a tight HDB-cabinet sump with no spare chamber can still run one. Tune the pump flow so media tumbles slowly rather than blasting, especially with GFO, which fractures and clouds the tank if driven too hard. Introduce phosphate media gradually to avoid stripping levels too fast and shocking sensitive corals.
