Aquaforest Plug Rocks Black for SG Frag Tanks
We stock these black plug rocks for reefers in Singapore who are propagating corals and trading frags within the local scene. The neutral black tone disappears against dark sand or epoxy aquascapes, so once your encrusting coral grows over the cap, the join is barely visible. A pack of 24 is enough to seed a small grow-out section, and the flat caps keep top-heavy frags from toppling in moderate powerhead flow.
In our experience, the porous surface bonds well with cyanoacrylate gel and accepts coralline encrustation quickly once your tank is mature. We recommend rinsing them in RO water before use and giving fresh-mounted frags a few days of lower light and gentle flow to settle. Because our tanks here sit warm at 27-29C year-round, coral metabolism stays high, so healthy SPS and zoa frags often start encrusting the plug within a couple of weeks.
