How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

  3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish Care in Singapore

The Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia praecox) is a small, shimmering schooling fish that rewards keeping in a group of six or more, where the males flash their best blue sheen and red fins. We deliver livestock on priority shipping for condition, with a handling fee applied at checkout. When your fish arrive, float the sealed bag to match temperature, then drip-acclimate over 30-45 minutes before gently netting them into a settled, cycled tank.

These rainbows are forgiving for our conditions. Singapore’s ambient 27-29C suits them well, so many keepers run them without a heater, and they adapt to our soft, slightly acidic tap water once it is dechlorinated to neutralise chloramine. Give them open swimming space with planted edges, as a longer tank shows off their active schooling. A varied diet of quality flake plus occasional treats keeps colours vivid.
