Red Rili Shrimp Care for SG Nano Tanks
Red Rili Shrimp are a colourful Neocaridina variety showing a striking pattern of solid red on the head and tail with a clear, translucent midsection. As a Neocaridina they are one of the more forgiving dwarf shrimp, which makes them a great choice for the compact nano and shrimp tanks popular in HDB and condo homes. They graze biofilm and soft algae all day and breed readily once a colony is settled.
Stable water matters far more than chasing exact numbers. Our warm 27-29C ambient is fine; just avoid swings and never add un-dechlorinated chloraminated tap water, which is lethal to shrimp. A mature, biofilm-rich tank with moss and leaf litter gives shriplets somewhere to hide and forage. Go slow on stocking and feeding, since shrimp are sensitive to ammonia and over-feeding fouls a small tank quickly.
