ADA Aqua Soil – Amazonia Version 2 Powder Type (3L)

ADA has released Aqua Soil – Amazonia Ver. 2 Powder Type (3L). This product uses the same materials as the original Amazonia Ver. 2 but with finer grains (due to the limited availability of these finer grains, it is only available in a 3L size). It can be used as substrate for small aquariums or layered thinly on top of the normal type Amazonia Ver. 2 substrate to create a neat and beautiful front line of the substrate. It also makes it easier to plant fine-rooted ground cover plants, reducing the likelihood of them floating after planting. Since it is made from the same natural soil as Amazonia Ver. 2, it promotes water conditions ideal for aquatic plants and tropical fish, making it a user-friendly substrate for both beginners and experts alike. ADA Amazonia Ver.2 Powder Type for Nano Scapes

The 3L Powder Type uses the same Amazonia Ver.2 material in finer grains, which makes it our pick for the nano and shrimp tanks that fit so well in Singapore flats. The smaller particles let fine-rooted carpet plants like dwarf hairgrass and Monte Carlo grip and spread faster, and they give a neater, more polished surface up front. It is an active soil, so it carries the same plant-feeding and water-softening behaviour as the regular grain.

Many hobbyists here use it exactly as intended: a thin layer over standard Amazonia to create a clean front line and an easier planting bed, or as the sole substrate in a small cube.
