ADA Aqua Soil Powder – Amazonia

Amazonia is substrate material, rich in organic acid and nutrients, promoting the growth of aquatic plant roots. By combining with Power Sand, it becomes the ideal substrate for plants. Powder type is used for small size aquarium or for spreading lightly over the normal type Amazonia.

This original-formula Amazonia in powder grain is what we hand to hobbyists building detailed foreground work. Rich in organic acid and nutrients, it drives strong root development and pairs naturally with Power Sand for a layered, long-lasting nutrient base. The fine grain is ideal for the small planted cubes popular in Singapore HDB and condo spaces, where a neat front line and tight carpet make the whole tank look intentional.

As an active soil it softens and lightly acidifies water, which suits our already soft, slightly acidic tap supply rather than fighting it. Use it for a whole small tank, or spread it lightly over standard Amazonia for a finer surface as the maker suggests. Cycle thoroughly first, because active soils release ammonia early; in our warm 27-29C tanks that process moves quickly, so frequent early water changes keep things safe for shrimp and fish.
