ADA La Plata sand

La Plata Sand is natural sand having natural bright color. It is suitable for general aquarium use and also good as cosmetic sand for planted aquarium. With its natural white color, La Plata Sand creates an atmosphere of natural river bed in aquarium. It does not affect the Water quality parameter.

Scaping With ADA La Plata Sand in Singapore Layouts

ADA La Plata Sand is the bright natural sand we reach for when an aquascape needs an open foreground or a convincing riverbed. Its soft, light tone evokes the look of a natural river bottom and works beautifully as cosmetic sand fronting a planted layout, or as a general-purpose substrate. Importantly for planning, it is inert and does not shift your water parameters, so it slots into almost any setup.

That neutral nature suits Singapore tanks nicely, where our soft, slightly acidic water can be home to shrimp and parameter-sensitive species you would not want disturbed by a reactive substrate. The pale sand also brightens a scape under typical lighting, lifting contrast against dark soil and hardscape. We do suggest a gentle rinse before use and a light current so detritus does not settle and dull the surface.
