CaribSea Arag-Alive Bimini Pink in a Singapore Reef
Bimini Pink stands out for its colour, a warm pink running through a mix of grain sizes, which gives a reef sand bed more visual depth than a flat white finish. The varied 0.2-2.2mm grains settle into a stable bed that resists scouring better than uniform fine sand, so it sits well in higher-flow nano and AIO tanks that Singapore hobbyists favour for space reasons. The colour reads beautifully under reef LEDs and contrasts nicely against coralline-covered rock.
As a live aragonite substrate it arrives wet and bacterially seeded, which supports a faster, more stable cycle, but you should still test ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate through the early weeks rather than skipping verification. Add it gently to a filled tank to limit cloudiness, and avoid heavy rinsing that would strip the live bacteria. Aragonite also helps buffer toward stable reef pH and alkalinity, which is welcome given our soft local tap water.
