SUDO S-8915 Medaka Pink Sand for Ricefish and Livebearers

This natural pink sand is graded for medaka (Japanese ricefish) and livebearer setups, settling the water toward neutral to mildly alkaline. That suits guppies, mollies and ricefish far better than the soft acidic profile of our raw Singapore tap, so it does some of the buffering work for you in tanks where you want firmer water without dosing minerals constantly.

The pale grain reflects light beautifully and shows off the soft pastel colours these fish are bred for. It arrives pre-washed, but we still rinse a fresh bag until the runoff is clear before laying it, since fine sands always release a little dust. A 5kg bag covers a generous footprint at a sensible depth for a flat, open-bottomed ricefish display in a typical HDB-sized tank.
