How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

  1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
  2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
  3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Keeping Ember Tetra in Singapore Tanks

Few nano fish glow quite like the Ember Tetra, whose warm orange shimmer looks spectacular against green plants and dark substrate. At barely two centimetres it is ideal for the compact tanks so many of us run in HDB flats and condos, and it shines best as a tight shoal of ten or more rather than a scattered handful. In numbers they school, colour up and behave naturally, turning a small planted tank into a moving cloud of orange.

They are an easy match for our climate, thriving in the soft, slightly acidic water our conditioned tap supplies and tolerating the typical 27-29C ambient range without a heater. A gentle filter flow suits them, since these are small, peaceful fish that dislike being buffeted. Pair them with other calm nano species and dense planting, and quarantine new stock before introducing it to an established display.
