come equipped with a 3 pinned plug and 4 meters long weather proof cables.

This is to ensure a higher level of safety, to prevent accidents / injuries.

The 3rd Pin in 3 pinned plug head is for earthing the electrical appliance. In the event of a short circuit or electrical leak, the electrical current is diverted away. Thus preventing injuries.
When exposed to the natural elements, non weather proofed cables can get damaged and expose the live wires. This can result in severe injuries. Always choose weather proofed cables when using electrical appliances in the outdoors.

These WP-series outdoor pumps come with a 4-metre weatherproof cable and an earthed three-pin plug, which is exactly what you want for a pond, fountain or water wall exposed to Singapore’s frequent rain. The earth pin diverts current safely in a fault, and the sealed cable resists the cracking that ordinary leads suffer when baked by sun and soaked by monsoon downpours. Output options from 2000 to 5000 L/H cover small courtyard features up to a modest koi pond.

We recommend matching the pump to your head height and the look you want; a waterfall needs more flow than a gentle bubbler.
