Running the 5-head mist maker in SG water features and paludariums
This five-disc ultrasonic fogger is popular with Singapore hobbyists building paludariums, indoor water walls and small garden features, where the rolling mist adds atmosphere and a touch of cooling at the surface. The ceramic discs sit a fixed 30-50mm below the waterline, so you size the reservoir around that depth; too shallow and the discs spit, too deep and the fog output drops. The ten-metre lead gives sensible reach to a hidden transformer in a cabinet or sheltered corner.
In our humidity a fogger genuinely raises local moisture, which mossy and fern-heavy paludariums enjoy, but you do want airflow so the surrounding cabinet does not stay perpetually damp. Use clean, low-mineral water to keep the discs producing well, top up regularly since output above 1600ml an hour drains a small reservoir quickly, and wipe any scale off the membranes during your routine clean.
