Adding the ZETLIGHT WAVE wavemaker to a Singapore tank

A dedicated wavemaker does a different job from your return pump: it creates movement across the scape so detritus stays suspended and gets exported instead of rotting in dead corners, which is a real concern in our warm 27 to 29C tanks where waste breaks down fast. The controller lets you build pulsing patterns rather than a constant blast, giving corals and fish a more natural, varied flow.

The SD30-N and SD50-N suit different tank volumes, so match the model to your litreage rather than overpowering a nano and sandstorming the substrate. The magnet mount works on glass up to the rated thickness, handy for the thicker panels on larger local tanks. We suggest aiming the outlet slightly across the surface at first to boost gas exchange, which helps oxygen levels in warm water.
