Description

Aquaforest TestPro KH is designed to quickly measure carbonate hardness in the marine aquariums. In order to ensure the proper functioning of the marine aquarium, alkalinity should vary between 6.5-8.0 dKH for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS). Higher values are permissible for aquariums with higher nutrients. The set contains enough reagents to perform 78-100 determinations of carbonate hardness.

AF Alkalinity Test Kit for Singapore Reef Keepers

The AF Alkalinity Test Kit measures carbonate hardness quickly, which is one of the most important parameters to watch on a reef tank. Aquaforest suggests a working range of 6.5 to 8.0 dKH for ultra-low-nutrient systems, with higher values acceptable where nutrients run higher. With enough reagent for roughly 78 to 100 tests, plus a reference solution to verify accuracy, it is a sensible kit for Singapore reefers who want to track alkalinity consistently rather than guess.

Alkalinity is consumed as corals calcify and can drift fast in an actively growing reef, so regular testing is how you catch problems before corals show stress. In our warm climate, where evaporation is high and top-up demand is constant, parameters can shift quickly, making a frequent testing habit especially valuable. We suggest testing at the same time of day and logging results so you can spot trends and adjust dosing calmly rather than reactively.

Find it in our water testing and water care range, and build a solid routine with our guides on the best KH test kits and a sensible aquarium water testing schedule.
