Singapore’s tap water tends to sit soft and slightly acidic, and in a planted or driftwood-heavy tank it can drift lower still, so knowing your true pH matters more here than many keepers expect. This liquid kit reads the standard freshwater range and is far more reliable than throwaway strips, which is why we recommend it as the everyday pH check for community and planted setups in local flats.

pH isn’t static in our tanks, especially where CO2 injection or heavy plant growth is involved, so a single reading tells you less than a pattern. We suggest testing at the same time of day to compare like with like, since pH naturally rises and falls over a photoperiod. The glass vials are compact enough to store in an HDB cabinet, and the reagents last well if kept out of direct heat and humidity.
