Using the API High Range pH Test Kit in Singapore Tanks

We stock this kit because so many Singapore setups sit firmly above the limit of a standard low-range tester. African cichlid tanks, marine systems and tubs dosed with crushed coral or aragonite routinely read past 7.6, where ordinary kits simply max out. This high-range reagent resolves clearly between 7.4 and 8.8, so you can actually see whether your buffering is holding rather than guessing from a colour that has already gone off the chart.

For Marina Bay and Tanjong Rhu reef keepers, we suggest testing at the same time each day, since pH naturally dips overnight as the tank respires and climbs again under lights. Compare the glass tube against the chart in daylight near a window, not under blue actinics, which throw the colour off. Rinse the vial in tank water between readings and keep the reagent capped tightly, as our humidity degrades opened solutions faster than you might expect.
