NF TDS-139 Meter for monitoring water
This handheld TDS meter reads the total dissolved solids in your water in parts per million, giving you a quick number for how mineral-laden your water is. It is one of the cheapest, most useful tools a keeper can own, taking the guesswork out of water changes and top-ups. Dip the probe, read the display, and you instantly know whether your source water and tank water are drifting apart.
For Singapore hobbyists it earns its keep two ways. Our tap water is fairly soft and low in dissolved solids, so a TDS reading helps confirm what you are starting with before remineralising for shrimp or buffering for harder-water species. It also tracks how TDS creeps up between water changes as waste accumulates, an early nudge that a change is due, especially in warm tanks where waste builds quickly.
See our full water testing and care range, and read our TDS meter guide, our TDS for shrimp keepers guide, and our SG tap water guide to interpret your readings.
