Using Syngonium Green Splash in Singapore Setups
Syngonium Podophyllum Green Splash is a marbled arrowhead plant most at home grown emersed, with its roots in or just above the waterline and leaves reaching into open air. That makes it a favourite for paludariums, riparium planters and hang-on terrarium walls rather than a fully submerged aquascape. Trained this way, its dense root mat pulls nitrates straight from the water column while the foliage adds lush, jungle texture above the surface.
Singapore’s warm, humid climate is genuinely ideal for this plant, which is why it grows so vigorously in open-top setups here. Give it bright indirect light and let the roots stay wet, and it will throw out new arrowhead leaves quickly. Keep the foliage above water long term, as Green Splash will slowly melt if kept permanently submerged. Trim runners to keep it tidy and propagate easily from stem cuttings.
