TCulture Anubias Barteri Rainforest in Singapore Aquascapes

This Anubias barteri ‘Rainforest’ is an epiphytic aquatic that earns its keep attached to driftwood or stone rather than planted in substrate, lending a mature, jungle feel to a hardscape. Supplied as a clean tissue-culture plant, it is free of pest snails and algae, which makes it a tidy addition to shrimp tanks and planted nanos in Singapore homes. Its leaves give fish and shrimp natural cover and grazing surface.

Like all Anubias it must have its rhizome left exposed; tie or glue it to hardscape and never bury it, or the rhizome rots. It is undemanding, thriving in low to moderate light without CO2 and shrugging off our warm 27-29C water. Growth is slow, so position it where you want it long-term and let it knit onto the wood over the coming weeks.
