Bucephalandra Mini Kapuas Hulu for Singapore Nano Tanks
This mini Kapuas Hulu variant brings compact, small-leaved growth that is ideal for the nano cubes and shrimp tanks so popular in Singapore’s space-conscious HDB and condo homes. Supplied potted and pest-free, its smaller stature lets you create detailed foreground and mid-ground accents without a single plant dominating the scape. We often suggest it for aquascapers chasing a fine, naturalistic look where larger buce would feel too coarse against delicate hardscape.
Treat it as an epiphyte: secure the rhizome to driftwood or rock and keep it above the substrate. In our 27-29C ambient water it grows happily without a chiller, and our soft tap water suits it once dechlorinated. Growth is slow, which actually helps in nano tanks since it stays in scale far longer than fast stems. Keep gentle flow over the rhizome and stable parameters to avoid melt, and let shrimp graze the leaves for biofilm.
