Cryptocoryne Wendtii ‘Green Gecko’ Tissue Culture for SG Aquascapes

Supplied as a clean TC cup, this Green Gecko crypt arrives pest-free and snail-free, which we find reassuring for shrimp keepers and anyone starting a fresh scape. The cultivar holds a bright, slightly textured green that brightens shaded midground spots beautifully. In our local 27-29C tanks it grows at a steady, moderate pace without demanding CO2, so it suits low-tech setups in compact HDB and condo aquariums where space and equipment are limited.

Rinse off the agar gel thoroughly before planting, then separate the cup into several small clumps for faster coverage. Tissue culture stock has only emersed leaves on arrival, so expect a melt-and-regrow phase as it adapts underwater. Keep the rhizome above the substrate, tuck roots in, and be patient. A nutrient substrate or root tabs rewards you with denser, more colourful growth over the following weeks.
