Bacopa caroliniana originates from US and has been used as an aquarium plant for many years.
Stems become 10-30 cm long and 3-4 cm wide. Apart from relatively good light it makes few demands. Its slow growth rate makes it one of the few stem plants that do not need much attention.
Like most stem plants, it is most decorative when planted in small groups. Easy to propagate by cuttings; take a side shoot and plant it in the bottom.

Growing Tropica Bacopa caroliniana 1-2-GROW! in Singapore tanks

Bacopa caroliniana is one of the stem plants we steer beginners toward, and the 1-2-GROW! tissue-culture format makes it even easier to start. Because the cup is grown in vitro and sealed, it arrives free of snails, algae and pest hitchhikers, which is exactly what you want when seeding a fresh scape. Rinse off the gel, separate the tiny plantlets, and plant them in small clusters rather than one dense plug for the most natural fill-in.

Its slow, undemanding growth is a real advantage in our warm tanks, where many fast stems race to the surface and need constant trimming. Caroliniana tolerates modest light and does not strictly need pressurised CO2, though a little extra light brings out the coppery tone in the upper leaves. Given our ambient 27-29C, it settles into most planted setups without fuss once the roots take hold.
