UP Aqua D026S Water Conditioner Buffer for Singapore Tap
This adjustable-valve buffer is a handy little tool for water changes, letting you trickle treated tap water, diluted medication or liquid fertiliser into a tank at a controlled rate rather than dumping it in. We like it for sensitive setups like shrimp and fry tanks where a sudden change in flow or chemistry stresses the livestock. It also doubles as a brine shrimp hatcher, with the valve letting you draw off freshly hatched artemia.
Singapore tap is chloraminated, so the trickle approach pairs naturally with conditioning your replacement water before it reaches the tank. Run new water through after dosing a dechlorinator, and the slow drip lets temperature and chemistry equalise gently, which matters more in our warm climate where fish are already metabolising fast. The 1L, 6L and 10L sizes cover everything from a nano to a routine on a larger display.
Because our tap carries chloramine specifically, it pays to know how to neutralise it, which our chloramine removal guide and water conditioner guide both cover. Find more tools in cleaning and maintenance.
