Zhen De Colour Crystal Pack as Accent Substrate

These coloured crystals, available in 15mm small and 25mm medium, are a decorative top-dressing rather than a planting substrate. We see them used most in betta bowls, kids’ desk tanks, and themed displays where a pop of colour does more work than a natural look. Scatter a thin layer over your base gravel for contrast, or pile a small mound as a bright focal patch near a single ornament.

The larger 25mm size is the safer choice if you keep curious fish, as it is too big to swallow; the 15mm suits shrimp tanks and finer aesthetics. Give the crystals a rinse before adding them, since loose dust will cloud the water for an hour or two. They are inert, so they will not shift your already-soft local water chemistry, and the colour holds up under warm tropical tanks.
