ANS I Surface Mini 13mm Oil Skimmer for Planted Tanks

The I Surface Mini is a compact glass oil-film skimmer we recommend for nano and planted aquariums where a full surface skimmer would look bulky. Sized for 13mm intake fittings, it draws the thin organic film off the water surface and pulls it into your filter, clearing that dull, oily sheen that breaks up reflections and traps light. Made of clear glass, it disappears into a clean aquascape far better than chunky plastic units.

Surface biofilm is especially common in Singapore tanks: our warm 27-29C water, still surfaces and rich feeding all encourage that film to form, and it can choke gas exchange in an already-warm tank where oxygen is harder to hold. Drawing it off keeps the surface rippling and gas exchange healthy. We suggest dialling your filter flow so the skimmer sips steadily without slurping air, and giving the glass a quick clean during water changes to keep it pulling efficiently.
