Anubias nana ‘Mini Kirin’ epiphyte for hardscape
This compact nana selection is built for mounting rather than planting, which makes it a forgiving choice for anyone newer to aquascaping. Fixed onto driftwood or tucked between stones, it brings the sturdy, dark-green leaves that Anubias are loved for in a smaller footprint, ideal for the nano and mid-size tanks common in SG homes. Its slow growth means very little maintenance once it has settled.
Keep the rhizome exposed above the hardscape and let only the roots grip down; burying it is the most common way these plants are lost. It handles modest lighting happily, copes with our warm 27-29C water without special cooling, and is undemanding about water hardness. The firm leaves also give grazing shrimp and grow-out fry useful cover and surfaces to forage over in a planted setup.
