The NF ASC Air Stone Ball is a round diffuser available in a range of sizes, from a tiny 20×20 up to a chunky 50×50, so you can match the stone to the tank rather than forcing one size everywhere. We like ball stones for the soft, rounded plume of bubbles they throw up, which works neatly tucked behind hardscape in a display tank or dropped into a quarantine or breeding tank for quick aeration.

Choosing the right size matters: a small ball suits a nano or a single sponge-filter line, while the larger balls handle a community tank’s oxygen needs. In Singapore’s 27-29C water, which holds less dissolved oxygen, having the right stone keeps fish comfortable, especially overnight. All air stones clog over time with biofilm and mineral buildup from our chloraminated tap water, so rotate or clean them to keep the bubbles fine and quiet.
