NF ASC89028 Air Stone Cylinder, Large 130mm

The NF ASC89028 is the largest in this cylinder range at 130×30, made to deliver heavy, broad aeration for sizeable tanks, sumps and busy grow-out systems. We recommend a stone this size when smaller diffusers cannot keep a big, well-stocked tank adequately oxygenated. The long, thick cylinder produces a wide curtain of bubbles that drives strong surface movement and efficient gas exchange across a large volume of water.

In our 27-29C climate, generous aeration is genuinely worthwhile because warm water holds less oxygen and demand peaks overnight in stocked or planted tanks. Run this stone on a pump with enough output to service its full surface, otherwise the bubbles turn coarse and uneven. Expect periodic maintenance, as biofilm and minerals from our chloraminated tap water slowly clog the pores, so clean or replace it to keep performance high.
